Jammu and Kashmir : In the terrorist attack of Jaish-e-Mohammed in Pulwama district of Jammu Kashmir, thirty troopers of CRPF were martyred. At the time of the attack, more than 2500 personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force were going in a convoy of 78 vehicles from there. Most of them were returning to their work after spending their holidays. The attack was carried out by ambushing the Latumode in the Avantipora area on the Jammu-Kashmir highway.

According to officials, Jaish's terrorists hit the bus carrying the CRPF jawans from vehicles carrying explosives, in which at least 30 jawans were martyred. This is the worst terror attack since the Uri attack in 2016. The police identified the terrorist who operated a suicide bomber vehicle as Adil Ahmed of Pulwama's Kakapora. He told that Ahmed joined Jaish-e-Mohammed in 2018.

He told that the terrorist organization took responsibility for this incident. The attack has happened about 30 kilometers away from Srinagar.

CRPF Director General R R Bhatnagar told PTI, "It was a huge convoy and about 2500 security personnel were going in various vehicles. Some bullets were also run on the convoy. The convoy had run from Jammu at 3.30am and was supposed to reach Srinagar till sunset. Officials said that the number of workers returning to the valley was high because there was no movement from the last two to three days on the highway for bad weather and other administrative reasons.

Generally, about 1000 workers walk in the convoy but this time the total number of personnel was 2547. Officials said that a team was deployed to check the road on the road and the convoy armored vehicles were present in the convoy. The forensic and bomb analysts have reached the spot. Officials said that the force of the 76th Battalion of the force, which was in the center of the attack, had 39 personnel aboard.

In the Kashmir Valley, the CRPF Inspector General (campaign) Zulfiqar Hassan termed it as an attack from the vehicle and said that the Jammu and Kashmir Police have taken the matter in its own hands.
